MIDEX Airshow 2011

					MIDEX AIRLINES, UAE National Cargo Carrier, made its third appearance at the Dubai Airshow with one of its three B747 aircraft. Company President, Dr. Issam KHAIRALLAH, declared during the Dubai Airshow that MIDEX will purchase five B747 before end of 2012 making Midex the largest cargo operator privately owned in the world. Two B747 have been purchased in 2011 and are scheduled for delivery before enf of March 2012.

Maintenance Contract with AMS

					MIDEX AIRLINES, signed a five-year contract with Alitalia Maintenance Services (AMS) for the Maintenance of its Engines. In accordance with this agreement that became in effect as of the first of November 2011, AMS shall supply maintenance and engineering services in addition to spare parts to the CF6-50 engines of MIDEX’s fleet made of seven (7) Airbus A300B4-203F and eight (8) Boeing B747-228F. Dr. Issam KHAIRALLAH, President of MIDEX AIRLINES, commented on this agreement, saying that "AMS enjoys a good and long-standing reputation in this field. We are certain that this agreement will enhance the presence of AMS that is planning to launch a new facility for its services in the United Arab Emirates."

Maintenance Contract with GMF

					MIDEX AIRLINES, represented by Mr. Georges IBRAHIM, Chief Operating Officer, signed a maintenance contract with GMF in November 2011. MIDEX AIRLINES, the National Cargo Carrier of the United Arab Emirates, decided to send one of its B747 aircraft to GMF for heavy maintenance. In September 2011 Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Director of Quality Assurance at MIDEX AIRLINES conducted an audit on GMF to ensure its capability to performing this maintenance and the results were very satisfactory. The B747-228F aircraft, registered as A6-MDH, will undergo combined C+D-Check at GMF in November 2011. MIDEX AIRLINES is also sending a second B747 aircraft for heavy maintenance at GMF in December 2011.

MIDEX : Best Air Cargo Operator for 2009

					MIDEX AIRLINES won the award for “Best Air Cargo Operator of the Year 2009”. The award was received by the General Director, Mr. Jassim ALBASTAKI who declared: “Receiving this award is a clear proof of the great work achieved by the company since launching its operations only a year ago. I give credit and thanks to the wise Management and to the competent Staff for these brilliant results, which involved adopting the best international standards and practices in client-servicing, raising work standards, motivating employees and providing them with specialized training to ensure quality, safety and continuous growth.”
