MIDEX AIRLINES has its Operation Base at Al Ain International Airport (AAN) in Abu Dhabi

MIDEX Airshow 2009

					MIDEX AIRLINES, UAE National Cargo Carrier, made its second appearance at the Dubai Airshow with one of its six Airbus A300B4 freighter. Company President, Dr. Issam KHAIRALLAH, declared during the Dubai Airshow that MIDEX bought two B747-228F (Nose Loaders) from Air France making the MIDEX cargo fleet the largest in Europe and in the Middle East (6 Airbus A300B4-203F and 3 Boeing B747-228F). The new B747 will be undergoing “C”Check at KLM facilities in Amsterdam with delivery scheduled on 21 April and on 15 May 2010. Mr. Jassim ALBASTAKI, Director General of MIDEX AIRLINES said, "Within a short period of time, MIDEX was able to achieve significant success, due to an increase in the destinations that we fly to in order to cover active markets in the world."

					Dr. Issam KHAIRALLAH is also branching out into the eco-friendly business of electric vehicles. A battery-powered Pick up was visible on the main deck of the A300B4-203F at the Dubai Airshow. MIDEX has 40% of the French company Heuliez and the French partner, Krief Group, has 60%. Heuliez also designed an electric three wheeler and an electric car that is being tested on the roads in France. MIDEX says that some of these electric cars would be particularly suited to use on airport ramps as utility vehicles. The “Simply City Up” will be called “MIDEX 15”. It is an urban & utility oriented Electric Vehicle which emphasizes strong values such as respect of the environment and responsible driving. It offers extreme modularity of the rear trunk which can easily be adapted to your wide-ranging requirements.

MIDEX : Best Air Cargo Operator for 2009

					MIDEX AIRLINES won the award for “Best Air Cargo Operator of the Year 2009”. The award was received by the General Director, Mr. Jassim ALBASTAKI who declared: “Receiving this award is a clear proof of the great work achieved by the company since launching its operations only a year ago.
